Mayday Graphic Products launches own brand of litho printing chemistry to be marketed under their PressPro, Pressroom Products label.With the recent appointment of Clive Allum who joined Mayday from HDP - Hydro Dynamic Products who has taken on the role of Pressroom Products Manager, Mayday are pleased to announce the launch of their branded environmental pressroom chemicals; fountain solutions, roller washes and cleaners along with a range of complementary supplies and sundries to be known as PressPro. Said Clive, “this is good for Mayday and printers alike. Just as with supermarket own brands they are just as effective, do the same job, but at prices that are not hard on the pocket, which can only benefit printers who have seen their margins eroded. For larger print companies we also offer bulk quantities”, he added. Developed jointly between Mayday and major UK chemical manufacturers these pressroom solutions are technically advanced to provide optimum on-press performance day in, day out at realistic and cost effective prices, available in various standard sizes from Mayday and in bulk containers despatched directly from the Midlands warehouse. As with many litho chemistry products nowadays they offer greater environmental benefits especially the fount range that has been developed to work with significantly reduced Isopropyl Alcohol more commonly known as IPA, an important point for many printers that are ISO: 14001 accredited or who will be seeking it in the future. That’s not all. While combining lower rates of volatile organic compounds VOC’s in many of the products the solutions are also FOGRA approved, another bonus for printers who have achieved this standard and need to meet consistence colour output. Because we will be launching this range of chemistry that’s going to be known as PressPro under the Mayday umbrella, we don’t want to spoil the good name we’ve built up over many years”.
