Essex Based Company Lynhurst Press Install Xerox 700 to meet Short Run Demand...

Lynhurst Press based in Basildon, Essex are a company well known in the magazine and publishing world, renowned by their quality and attention for detail. Besides having green, ISO and environmental credentials:- FSC, PEFC and ISO: 9002, 14001, 1801 they are also industry award winners - find out more - secondhand 700's now available.

A B2 litho printer they have complimented the litho section with two digital presses and are looking to further progress the company into the future, and relish the changes that lie ahead with a positive outlook and an optimistic business attitude.

Running the business with the motto 'we keep on changing so you don't have to' makes this, their statement to customers, boasting a customer base, the envy of many a printer, featuring household name and blue chip companies.  Directors Alec, Steve and Karen Samuels are moving the company forward with great enthusiasm keeping up with changes in industry, while listening to their clients and adapting to new technology.

Since the relocation of the factory from Romford to Basildon they have been busy.  Firstly with the installation of a Screen Truepress for short run litho quality work.  Not happy with standing still they realised that they could also help meet the demand from their customers for really short runs i.e. anything from 50 up to 1000 and purchased a new Xerox 700 to further cope with the increase in business, where they are seeing strong growth.

Knowing pretty much what they wanted, Steve Samuels researched the options available and settled on the Xerox 700 along with the recognised Creo RIP.  The machine has not been in that long, but they are extremely pleased with the speed and the exceptional quality that this digital device is giving them.

Steve Samuels commented.  "We have been a steadily growing company and have seen many areas that need change for us and digital has certainly been one area."

"We decided on the Xerox machine for very short run as the quality that this machine offered was second to none in our opinion.  Mayday Graphic Products have been a supplier to Lynhurst Press for many years and we were more than happy to be guided by them as a trusted supplier."

"Yes, the Truepress has been fantastic for digital work with Litho quality, but we needed a short run, faster turn-around offering from the Xerox 700, which has just slotted into place like a comfy pair of slippers."

Steve and Alec both went onto say "we take the needs of our customers very serious and want to offer a full range of services to them, and make sure we give them the best quality at a fair price."

"One side of business we would very much like to expand further is online ordering.  We see this as a growth area for us, in particular web-to-print, where we have seen good increases in sales from this existing side of the business" - continued Steve.

On the trading and economic conditions, Alec Samuels commented. "These are tough times for printers and we need to stay one step ahead of the competition, and to do that we want to make ordering print from us, as easy as possible."

Lynhurst Press will keep on changing and we look forward to a long and rewarding business relationship between our suppliers and our customers.  The Xerox is just another addition that was necessary for us to grow and we take these moves as positive for the company," added Alec on a final note.
