Award winning - full colour - wide format - UV inkjet printing
The Truepress Jet2500 UV is a versatile, high-quality, wide format inkjet printing system designed for markets that demand large-size, high-speed printing. It covers a maximum printing width of 2500mm and makes it possible to print on a variety of media including panels and construction materials - action video here
The machine combines the benefits of a flat-bed for printing on to rigid substrates as well as the flexibility that comes from printing directly on to reels of flexible material (up to 50m long). It has a maximum production speed of almost 70 square meters per hour and can print up to seven colours including a pre-white function.
Like the Truepress Jet520 and Truepress Jet650 UV, the Truepress Jet2500 UV uses grayscale heads. The image quality that this brings in combination with the Screen’s extensive knowledge of colour management gained in providing high-quality imaging solutions to the graphic arts industry will help the Truepress Jet2500 UV set new standards in wide format production.
A wide range of media types and sizes for every applicationThe Truepress Jet2500UV comes standard with a roll transport system and a board transport system, which allow it to handle a variety of sizes of board, sheet, and roll media. It can be used to print signs, wallpaper, paneling, veneers for furniture, construction barriers, building materials, guide maps, and timetables. It can create images up to 50 meters (164.0') long when roll media is images up to 50 meters (164.0') long when roll media is wide by 1.3 meters (51.1") long by 50 mm (1.9") thick. The addition of an optional media feeder table increases the length of media that can be used. Optional white inks can be used to ensure vibrant printing on transparent media and colored media.
Smooth gradationsThe multi-level grayscale printhead’s fine control enables output of multiple droplet sizes. Unlike traditional two-level printheads, this new printhead creates smooth gradations in the midtones, with superior, non-grainy reproduction from the highlights all the way to the shadows. The addition of light cyan and light magenta (Lc/Lm) inks (optional) to the standard cyan, magenta, yellow, and black (CMYK) inks makes 6 colors printing possible, and increases he smoothness of gradations in the highlight range in particular.
Truepress ink The Truepress Jet2500UV uses Screen’s original, brilliantly colored flexible UV inks. Unlike standard UV printing inks, these inks do not crack when the printed media is bent, so the Truepress Jet2500 UV can be used to print on tarpaulins, wrappers, and other media that will be bent or stretched after being printed. In addition to CMYK, optional Lc/Lm and white inks can be used. These lighter inks support photo-quality output for the wide-format graphics market. White ink enables support for an even wider range of applications, including printing on transparent media and colored media.
Note: The adhesion of the ink varies with the media used, and in some cases optimization of the ink, undercoat, or overcoat is required for proper ink adhesion.
Optimal conditions at all timesThe Truepress Jet2500UV features an automatic printhead cleaning function that automatically cleans the printhead nozzles with cleaning chemical and then dries them. The operator simply gives the command from the controller’s maintenance screen during startup or shutdown, and any impurities on the nozzle are automatically cleaned, ensuring the best possible printhead conditions at all times.
